VEGETAL is a blown glass collection designed by Marcantonio. The collection takes inspiration from the natural world and includes four different pendant lamps. The VEGETAL collection is a combination of blown glass and metal and includes the PALMA, FICUS, PILEA and CALATHEA pendant lamps. Each lamp takes inspiration from the natural world and the symbolic meanings that these plants carry. PALMA: always one of the most famous plants, it possesses the ability to blossom when it seems to be dying. FICUS: in the imagination it represents acceptance, gratitude and respect. PILEA: often known as the Chinese coin plant, it actually has a much deeper meaning linked to friendship; its buds can be detached and given as gifts, becoming a lucky charm. CALATHEA: has always been considered the plant of prayer, as during the night it has the strange habit of closing its leaves close to the stem in twos as if to mimic joined hands in prayer.
